Ok, this is a shameless plug for an endeavor of mine that I hope you all will support and pass on to all your friends.

As you know, I’m a gamer.  I love to play WoW (along with a few others) and I like to hang out with other gamers.  Makes sense right?  Well, before I became as into the gaming world as I am now, I was in “the phone world”.  I called and monitored telephone chatlines.  No, not SEX lines you dirty minded readers, chatlines.

Anyway, I got to thinking that I could make my own and gear it toward the gaming community.  There are literally 100,000 rooms on the system, a bbs (voice bulletin board), private chat available etc.  Now that most of us have unlimited long distance or at least free nights and weekends, we could hang out there, meet out guildmates etc.

Anyway, there is NO CHARGE for this service.  Other than the normal long distance if you don’t have unlimited or free nights/weekends.

EDIT:  Your phone number is private when you call, the other person/people that you are meeting there will not have access to it.  In addition, if you want to create your own private room you can or you can go private with a caller that you are talking to in the public room by hitting 3 and then the last 2 digits of their telephone number.  Your last 2 digits are your “special code numbers” to go private.  That is the only info you ever need to use.

Too Busy

This week has been so busy for me.  I haven’t had much of a chance to do anything but I figured I had better show up here for a quick update before people started to send out a search party.

Last week I was promoted to an officer in my guild, <Glitch>.  I am honored as well as excited because I hope to become somewhat of a catalyst to get things moving.  We are primarily PvP so motivating everyone to do a raid once or twice a week might be challenging.  We have great people so I know once the loot is passed out, feeling may change.

We also have a new guild site that Schedy set up for us.  I know it is just under construction but I can see good things happening in the future.

Last but not least I am thinking of doing a little rp writing here on Digidandan.  I am thinking of calling it “Letters from Mootiful”.  In the first person, letter format and might help me develop her character a bit more.  Thoughts?

Mootiful Defends Lady Sylvanas

Ok, I admit it, I stay in WorldDefense to see where the action is.  Sure, I love my battlegrounds but something about world pvp gets me all hot and bothered.  Anyway, I was visiting Undercity, the alerts that it was under attack starting showing up.  I wandered around the outer ring and just happened across a rogue and he was an easy task to handle.  I took the turn into the Royal Quarter and gave the guards and the Lady all buffs.  Then I saw red.  Here comes the raid!

I was all alone, stealthed and waiting.  I saw the Death Knight was the tank so I waited patiently for him to run in.  When he did, I set my treants free and barkskinned for that extra stunning action.  While my trees were working, I saw a bad, evil Alliance tree working furiously to save them all.  Sent a little cyclone love to him and I saw reinforcements coming in.  Three or four members of the Horde ready to help me end this attack on our wonderful city.

Needless to say, their attacked ended badly for them, and we stood in victory once again.  The Alliance guild on Scilla server named <OpEx> were the defeated party this time.

Hello Mr. (or Ms.) Honor Farmer!  How are you?  What, you want me to call you by your proper name?  Ok Douchebag Skrivva from Black Dragonflight.  This post is for you.

Why did you get all upset when people reported you?  Did you think that arguing your case and saying that AV was not valid PvP so it shouldn’t matter would make it all ok?  Honestly, it’s just pathetic.  I mean seriously, is actually PLAYING the battleground and help WIN for MORE HONOR so difficult?

If this had been the first AV that I had been in with you doing this, I would have assumed maybe you just went afk.  Every now and then life does get in the way.  That I understand.  But this wasn’t the first time, or second… or third.  This was the 4th time you had tried to run your scam in there.  I wasn’t the only one who had seen you before.

We all want honor or kills.  But don’t ruin the game for the rest of us with your lazy, semi-cheating actions.

So today was one of those days.  I had no motivation to be very productive in my life as Mootiful.  It started out good, logging into WoW after a hot day at work and seeing that the Black Kitten that I bought for 500g last night had resold at 1500g this morning.  Alas, even that couldn’t help me feel much better after being out in the heat too long this afternoon.

Since couldn’t go swimming in the 3-d world, I figured I would take a dip in Thunder Bluff as Mootiful.  While relaxing,  I found that the holiday candle floating in the pond made a superb hat for a moonkin.  What do you think?

After wasting a good deal of time there, I noticed that it was about time to participate in WG.  So off I went, emerged victorious and even got in a 25 man VoA.  Had a few guildies in with me, but I knew it was a solid pug.  I recognized most the names and none screamed “baddie” or “ninja”.  After one wipe on Emalon (which was just a bad timing thing, shouldn’t have happened but did) we found ourselves rolling for some sweet loot.  I am notorious for my bad rolls but this time I was high roller and got my Conqueror’s Nightsong Trousers. I was one happy cow.

On we went to the next boss, it was completely uneventful (no loot for me and no wipes for us) but our poor poor tank was in the air somehow when the boss died.  This is what I could see and you can see the look of concern on Mootiful’s face!

He assured me he would be fine and so I reluctantly left him floating in Vault.  Haven’t seen him again yet.

That was my day.  Still feel like crap, so making it an early night.

My PTR Druid on the Rooster

I got the Magic Rooster Egg and this is how my character on the PTR looks riding him.  Click the image to see larger.  One has wings up when it is making the cluck cluck cluck noise and one has normal wings down when just standing.

Scilla:

On Sunday, Glitch et al did Battle with Resolute et al in Southshore for nearly an hour.

The numbers were small (30 or less on both sides), but the fighting was fierce, and in the end, though the Alliance forces were crushed and disbanded, both sides left with a brooding sense of bloody satisfaction, and a taste for more.

Even though minor in scale, this small World PvP experiment DID demonstrate one thing; people still enjoy going out into the world and engaging in rule-free, unscripted PvP.

I invite those of you who participated to provide feedback on the event, and help me plan another one (this time open to all of Scilla)!

I am excited!  I loved that battle in Hillsbrad and this is a good sign of active world pvp starting up.  He later posted the details:

So, this coming Saturday/Sunday, we make Stranglethorn Vale (STV) the weekly Contested Battle Zone (CBZ).

Ganking Lowbies is allowed (as this increases the momentum of the PvP), but Booty Bay should be a safe zone.

Go to STV whenever you can, and kill any “Red” that you see.

This should culminate in a scheduled battle at 2 pm (High Noon) on Sunday, July 5th.

Mootiful- Talk to Tuzak and see if you guys can make something happen?

Scilla- Any feedback/questions?

My First Trip to the Isle of Conquest

Don’t expect this to be an in-depth report of the Isle or a place to find out the best strategy to winning this battleground.  To be honest, I had no clue what I was doing at first, and now I am still lost but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and plan to hang out on the PTR a little longer tonight learning.

I really wanted to check out the changes to innervate and I can say that I already had a lot less problem with mana in battlegrounds than I do on the regular server.  Part of the is the innervate change and I also credit the mana regen added to owlkin frenzy as well.

Anyway, without further ado, here are a few screenshots I was able to get.  Yes, Mootiful is incognito as “Niaplana” on the PTR.

Victorious in World PvP June 28, 2009

I know that I posted before that we were to battle in Tanaris, but at the last moment we were sent to defend Hillsbrad.  I was thrilled since I have always had an affinity for that zone and for Tarren Mill.  When we first flew in, <Resolute> (the Alliance guild) was hiding and honestly got the better of us right off the bat but I think that made them over confident.  After several of us ressurected, the fight turned in our favor.  We had a few people from other guilds but the majority of us were members of <Glitch>.
